Let's talk about my thoughts on the ongoing issue on Covid-19!

Covid-19 is a debatable topic for us all in 2020, affecting people, economy, the way we look at world is now different. But there is a way to look at crisis differently.


Being in lock down one gets bored, frustrated and all...but we need to be sane. Maintain our physical and mental health. We need to find a way through this pandemic.We need to  watch inspirational videos, be it movies, music, talk to a friend, video calls to our near and dear one's. Making the most positive use of technology. Maintaining social distance. Understanding the need of lock down for our benefit the precautions needed. Basic hygiene to be maintained. 

Well god has given us an opportunity to make the most use of it! When we can make the most use of it…spending time with our loved ones, self-care, learning something new in art or creativity, be it anything cooking, gardening, watching movies, teaching/learning new technology, lending a helping hand to old age people/playing with kids, etc…

Keep on learning and watching is the new mantra.!!!

Crush!!

Sometimes do we wonder? Why anyone does have a crush on any girl/guy? What do you do when you like someone you know you shouldn't? Does anyone ever wonder what thought crosses one’s mind when you think about the true crush defined in history of the girl/boy mind! ;) Does anyone no. Crush may be anyone for anything. Which means a guy/girl can have a crush on the basis of looks, style, sense of humor, intelligence, the personality on a whole? Depends on these factors.

Well it depends on the person whether “The Crush” stays a crush the entire life or turns into “The Loved”. I feel not necessary that it should change into love, as sometimes it better it stays as a crush. As one can’t keep on hopping around for it every now and then. J

I also do have my share of crushes and will love them and have a special place in my heart where there’s no space for anyone to fill it with. Of course I love them whole kindheartedly but not that kind of love. As love has many aspects that would be discussed in my next Blog post. Till then folk’s buhbye and take care. J

Priyanka Chopra: 1st Indian Face for Guess !!

This being my 1^st post on Fashion Icons Globally. This post inspired me to write on, after reading the news about our very own Priyanka Chopra, better known as Piggy Chops & PC.

Miss World 2000'

She started her journey just at the age of 17 she became Miss World 2000 for the millennium. The 1^st Miss World of the 21^st Century. She inspired to study engineering or psychiatry. After a year or so, she was offered to join the Indian Film Industry, after winning the pageant. Her best performances were in Fashion, Dostana, 7 Khoon Maaf (based on short story Susanna’s Seven Husbands- Ruskin Bond’s) What’s Your Rashee? & Barfi.

 She also writes a column for the HT National Newspaper named ‘The Priyanka Chopra Column’. She has always supported Girl Power, through her works with UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights & NDTV’s Greenathon Ambassador for Environmental Charities. Also she had worked for NGO Nanhi Kali & “Save Girl Child”. Apart from that she has supported CPAA (Cancer Patients Aid Association) funds. And also pledged for Organ Donation after death and promoted it.

 Hey Folks,

  My today’s post in on the Hindu Festival celebrated worldwide for the Symbolic victory over Evil.

Happy Vijayadashmi to one and all!! J

Vijayadashmi has various names such as Dussehra, Dashahara & Dashain (In Nepal).

It’s usually a ten day festival celebrated in Durgostav or Navratri. Most Commonly celebrated in Asian countries like India, Nepal & Bangladesh.

The Name Dussehra is derived from Sanskrit word “Dasha-Hara” which means removal of ten. On this tenth day where Lord Rama’s Victory over the ten-headed Demon King Ravana. Also its embarks the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasur. Where Vijaydashmi embarks the victory over evil. Vijayadashmi means Victory over Dashmi (Dashmi being the tenth lunar day of the Hindu calendar month).

In India where all over it is celebrated the entire ten day festivals. Where few people fast for the faith on the deity.

For the entire festive period the fast goes on, and they break their fast on the tenth day with sweet and various savouries’

Also on this day people worship the Apta Tree (Bauhinia racemosa) and exchange its leaves (known as golden leaves) as a symbol of gold wishing each other a bright and prosperous future. Also people buy new clothes and invest in gold jewellery and new appliances, bike and car. Also garland them with Saffron Marigold flowers popularly known as Jhendu or Genda Phool.  There is great enthusiasm, joy & happiness everywhere.

Autumn is my favourite season after winter. This is best time when pale summer is over. J  When the dried leaves and flowers bloom out and nature gives out all the beautiful colours around with yellow, orange & red. J

THE LITTLE BLACK DRESS

Prior to 1920's black was considered the color of mourning, in most parts of the world. Hence the color was never used for daily or occasional clothing. It was in 1926 that Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel for the first time, published a picture of a short , simple black dress in American Vogue. Vogue at that time said that the LBD (Little Black Dress) would become " A sort of uniform for all women of taste" and so it did!

LBD also become a huge fashion rage after Audrey Hepburn wore it in the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

Today’s day is dedicated to Krissane’s life where one can get an insight to her private life. Which cannot be forgotten and also important part where you get to know her roots, yet she is strong enough though she had made her own mark.

Today’s day as she woke she got ready for work. As she was moving out of her house she saw her Dad in the lobby waiting for her as he wanted to spend some time with her and introduce her to Uncle Nicolo who was in town. She was a bit skeptical in meeting her Uncle as he didn't even meet the family after her dad’s marriage as it was a Marriage against her dad’s parent’s wish. So neither did her grandparents meet her till the end of their death. But since it was their last wish to meet their only granddaughter.

In the middle of all she had to cancel all her appointments for the week almost and head to Glasgow. So in a jiffy she packed her bags and went along with her as she could never say no to her dad even though her parents are separated long ago. But she loves them unconditionally even though whatever has happened in the past. She went along with her dad along with Uncle Nicolo in her own car.

It was a long journey to travel as they couldn't get time to purchase last minute tickets either by rail or air. It was a long time travel as it was boring to travel by road when you have to travel at the last minute when it’s against your wish.

It took the entire day and night to travel and they reached their destination by next day by the noon time. There she had taken along with her, Friend Abbey to give her company during her trip to her native place. Also for the fact that it was also Abbey’s native place. Also as she was new there she needed someone to be with her through this phase of knowing her roots. Where Abbey was her childhood friend and did the only person know the real Krissane who had a different image in public.
